Dave writes: I get quite a few 'old soldiers' telling me how they had the original clear cassette tapes of Dave Warner's from the Suburbs back in 77/78 and the tape eventually got chewed up by the car cassette etc. All the songs from those three dates that we recorded at the Victoria Hotel (Subiaco) and the Shenton Park Hotel are available now as digital downloads and streams under the title Suburbs Live at the Victoria and Shenton Park Hotels 1977. You can find them on Apple Music, Spotify, CD Baby, Amazon Music etc. The faves are all there (Monster's Back, 1/2 Time at the Football) but there are a few little known tracks that I wish we'd been able to play more: She Didn't Write, Revenge Of The Lawn Becomes Vinyl, Where Do I Go? Andre Fritze, Anthony Bridge, Sue Howard, Spence, Dave Martin and others know what I'm on about. Anyway, if you want to immerse yourself in what it was really like in a Perth pub back in 1977, or at Bananas in St Kilda, or the San Miguel in Cammeray, take a listen.
