Dragster Body Tutorial
Howdy all!!

Thought I better put together a bit of a learning for putting together the Drag rail bodies - they require a little more work than a standard car...

NOTE - HAVE MADE SOME MORE OF THESE, HOPEFULLY SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET THEM TO GEOFF SHORTLY.
Go pick one up if yours isn't too healthy

Before ya start, git yerself a hobby knife, fine permanent marker, PAINT, a drawing pin, scissors, super glue and a Tomy chassis.

I'll also make note that the molding of many of these dragsters wasn't up to standard, but I did the best I could in the time I had (formed them all the morning of Cam n Em's race meet!).

Make the most of what ya got, should still come up ok

Some early ones were molded with the wing tower attached, still cut out the sides n back of it, fold the back in so it just catches inside the back of the chassis (almost touching the crown gear..)

OK, into it...

The basic bits - the chassis clip isn't used, but keep it for the other body shells

Wash everything in warm water + dish detergent, I had to use a fair bit of mold release to get these out.
Rinse and dry well.

I'll start with the wing tower.
This bit can be done later, just remember to mask it off or remove it to avoid overspray paint.

It's molded in a different shape to the finished piece due to "technical considerations", but it basically gets the sides cut out and is folded in a bit to give the correct fitting..

Re: Dragster Body Tutorial
Now, on to the main body section.
If the wing tower is molded in, mask it off, unless you want it painted of course!
