Was talking to the guy who built this on the HobbyTalk forums, and pointed me to an article about the guy who makes the trailer, which is here:

Re: Weird Cars
Hi guys-
A couple of those weird ones are mine or from my website http://www.supervipersystems.com/VargoSpeedway

The Partridge Family monster truck is a Marchon chassis. The Oscar Meyer weiner-mobile was fun and hope to finish it with lights some day. A TJet chassis wheelbase fits perfectly. The rocket car was Brian Lowe's creation up in Redmond Washington with the Scale Auto guys. They really did it. They tried to clock it with a radar gun but the thing got out of control with every attempt. Brian said the real challenge was finding the right burn rate for the length of their test track. I guess it flew all over the room on some of the first attempts with a burn rate that ran too long.

Check out more Weird HO on my aging website. Especially worth noting is the scans from the very first issue of "DUB" magazine where fashion models are playing with what appears to be an old Tyco track. Weird but wild.

Later,
Scott

Re: Weird Cars
hey Scott,
Welcome to the forum !

with my experience with rocket cars that looks like it would flip everytime ! the rocket needs to be mounted much lower so the thrust is pushing right thru the CG !
And your right about the brun rates, its amazing how long 1.2 seconds can be !

nice work on the other cars !
