Looks great Dave! How do the JL's go on the tight sections (They seem to be a bit hit and miss sometimes with the Tomy Hairpins)? |

Nice work Dave Yeh, I can see where T Jets and Magnatraction cars would be great fun on a technically difficult layout like the one you have produced. One can only imagine the time and effort that goes into constructing such a track.... Look forward to seeing pics of the finished layout.... |

Re: Davey goes a'routin' ....
latest work has been the table frame. I bought a 9.5mm straight cut router bit and grooved into the timber to accept the board edges. The corners were cut using a 45 degree mitre saw. It'll look much better once painted, which will come after I tidy it up and put in the controller socket holes. |

I really wish I took you up on that offer to look on Friday Dave. That's amazing. It also looks like Magny Cours with all the elevation changes too. (i.e. none ) August long in coming? I want to go there now. _________________ XSRDragRacing.com - Western Australian slot drag racing site XLR8Raceway.com - 1/32nd fun located in Bibra Lake |

Nice work Dave! It's really taking shape ... I was looking last night at controller stations, and saw this product: http://www.computronics.com.au/quickmark/ Looks interesting as you can make a 'template' for each of the stations, then perhaps add colour etc. Instructions are on the site. _________________ |

Re: Davey goes a'routin' ....
BTW: what are you using for the white strips around the edge? I tried the "liquid paper tape", but found it was not really good for the tighter corners ... _________________ |

Re: Davey goes a'routin' ....
White markings are trusty paint pens, drawn freehand so they are slightly wiggly but acceptable. Here's a new pic showing the frame with undercoat, hope to apply the top coat tomorrow |

Re: Davey goes a'routin' ....
seeing as Richard is going flat out wit hhis track, thought I better keep up and give an update on mine.. The frame has been painted with a blue enamel, came up ok although I didn't feel like putting in hours of work to get it all perfectly smooth. I'm slowly adding the "grass" infill bits in between turning laps. Still to do is the electronics wiring, need to get hold of some 25 pin plugs for that. Note the reed switch pockets routed in the underside. Today I routed a slot around the frame top, with the intention of standing our beloved clear plastic in it for track walls. Really should have done it before I painted the frame, but didn't really think of the idea till after. My RO Patriot on the white lane is super fast, be interesting to compare it to an RO BSRT on such a tight track. Mod SG+ is very quick and smooth too. I'm running the cars in a clockwise direction, opposite to what I originally intended. It's a much better drive this way |

Cam, avert your eyes from this horror Here's a bit of the cabling underneath, ends up costing a bit if ya keep buying from DSE It all works well though |
